They are a couple of very
friendly siblings who are lots of fun to learn and

Who is the creator of Mili y Molo |
|
Mónica
Mejías was born in Venezuela and has several years
of experience as graphic designer, writer and announcer.
She has worked making commercials and documentaries in
radio and TV for companies such as Nickelodeon, Procter &
Gamble, Toyota, Visa & Master Card, Banco de Venezuela,
Slender Quest Gym, Librería Nuevo Mundo, Juguetes
Danaplast, Publix, Union Planters Bank, Navarro's Farmacia
Discount, Mercy Hospital and BellSouth Yellow Pages and
many others.
In 1994 she produced and hosted the radio program of
development and personal growth, denominated "Iluminando
Tu Mente", that aired with much success in her country of
origin, Venezuela, on Mágica 99.1 FM. She was part of the
of "Amigos Hispanos", a television program that airs on
PAX 35 Television. She also does voiceover dubs for
Cisneros Television and is part of "RadioNautas", a radio
program that aired on Radio Unica 1210 AM.
She was Director and Editor of "Latin Broward Magazine"
targeted to Hispanics in Miami and Broward counties in
Florida.
Ediciones Alas Inc. is the conclusion of
her years of experience which are dedicate to produce
educational children's books and products.

Nuestros Niños no deben de perder el Español, es su
cultura!!
¡No quería que perdieran
sus raíces! De cada tres palabras, dos las decían en
inglés. Preocupada les pedía constantemente que me
hablaran sólo en español. Llegamos al acuerdo de que "en
casa" ese era el idioma que iban a practicar. Me dí cuenta
que lo entendían muy bien, que lo hablaban con dificultad
(el perfecto spanglish) y que no lo sabían leer en
absoluto.
Pensé que si no lo sabían leer,
dificilmente conocerían nuevas palabras. Así que
combinando el método con el que aprendí cuando era pequeña
con mi propia técnica, comencé a enseñarles a leer en
español y lo logré ... ¡Claro! ... mi tarea continúa.
Mili y Molo está basado en las divertidas,
traviesas y pícaras vivencias de dos tremendos "personajes"
a los que como madre, amo profundamente y como ser humano,
admiro y respeto. Mis hijos. Dos hermanitos. Cada uno con
su "peculiar" personalidad y con experiencias muy
parecidas a las de los suyos.Los niños y jóvenes lectores
se sentirán identificados, por lo que aprenderán de una
manera rápida y entretenida. ¡Acompáñelos en esta aventura!
